Texas Tech defeated Oregon State 35-24 on Sept. 12 in Corvallis, OR. 

Oregon State led 24-21 in the fourth quarter before Texas Tech rallied to take the lead with a pair of touchdown passes. 

Beavers quarterback Braden Atkinson completed 31-of-51 passes for 413 yards and two touchdowns. He even caught a four-yard touchdown pass. 240 of his passing yards went to receiver Jesse Legree, who also caught two touchdown passes. 

Red Raiders quarterback Will Hammond completed 20-of-27 passes for 189 yards and a touchdown. Thomas Castellanos threw an eight-yard touchdown pass and rushed for another score. 

J’Koby Williams led the Red Raiders in rushing with 116 yards and a touchdown in 20 carries.
